Back to School with kids sliding

Welcome to the 2020-21 school year. Although it will be a different start to the year, we are very excited that you are with us. Our theme this year is John Hay, Stronger Together. We will support you as we all get connected to the virtual classroom and resources.

Here is an overview of the first two weeks to help guide us. Our Strong Start class meetings will now start on September 4th (for grades 1-5) to be consistent with the School District. Kindergarten will have their first class meeting on September 8th.

    August 31st
You will receive a welcome letter from your child’s teacher.

    September 4-11
    Family Connection Meetings
Your child’s teacher will be inviting each family (student and parent) to meet with them on Microsoft Teams for a one-on-one opportunity to share information, establish two-way communication and build relationships. Classroom teachers will be contacting you to schedule the Teams meetings the week of August 31st.

*If your child receives special education or English language services, the case manager will be reaching out during this time as well.
