    Summary of Feedback
    • Thanks to teachers for increasing specific feedback that was given on student assignments.
    • Thanks to teachers for sending out learning templates before the weekend, to help parents organize their child’s work.
    • Please give parents training on Schoology and other apps at the beginning of the year.

    Summer Apps Available:
    • Moby Max available on our account until July 15th
    • EPIC is free all summer.
    • Khan Academy is available as a class account until August 31st. ALL of your work and data WILL stay active after that point. Just make sure to link your account to a parent’s email to access it. Directions are HERE.

    August Town Halls
    In August, we will host another set of town halls to keep you informed and collect input from our community. In the meantime, we sincerely hope you are all able to enjoy your summer!



    No Place for Hate Banner

    A reason to celebrate! John Hay ES was awarded as a No Place for Hate School, thanks to the work led by our 4th and 5th grade student council. Our work planned for next year includes student action campaigns and racial justice education.


    How to Be Anti-racist Book Cover




    This summer our staff will be reading “How to be an Antiracist,” by Ibram X. Kendi. Please consider reading it at home and adding your voice to our mission of racial equity. Parents if you are interested in joining the Racial Equity team for virtual meetings please email Angela Clement
