Our Families
The parents, caregivers, and extended families of John Hay are a very important part of our community. We realize that you live extraordinarily busy lives and we want to create easy ways for you to stay involved and stay informed. Our website was designed with you in mind, and we hope that you find the information you seek in these pages.

Nutrition Services
Our menus are planned to meet and often exceed USDA menu planning regulations for school meals. We also have new initiatives partnering with local farmers and local chefs to create recipes that appeal to students and utilize fresh seasonal (local) ingredients. Transportation
If you live more than one mile from John Hay, but within the Queen Anne-Magnolia area, you should be eligible for transportation. Call 206-252-0900 to set up transportation for your child. Visit SPS Transportation Information for more details.
Enrollment
Students enrolling in Seattle Public Schools are assigned to an attendance area school according to the student’s address. The John Hay attendance area map shows our school’s boundaries. You can also use the district’s address look-up tool to see your assigned school. For more information on how to enroll to a Seattle public school, contact the Service Center at 206-252-0760. Kindergarten
John Hay offers full-day kindergarten which provides young learners the social and academic skills they need to support learning throughout their education.
After School Care
John Hay is fortunate to have Kids Co., an onsite childcare program that offers parents a safe and friendly place to leave their children after school and kids an affirming and playful community in which to grow and learn. Learn more on our Kids Co, Childcare page.

School Supply Lists
If your family is able, we request an annual School Supply fee that can be paid via School Pay on the Source website. Please refer to your email from the school for details. If there are any questions, please contact the main office.
