Arts Program
A Note from the Music & Art Room
We are thrilled to continue our journey at John Hay as your Music and Art teachers! Students K-5 regularly attend a both a music class with Carol Burton and a visual arts class with Jenna Warburton. The focus is mainly on Visual and Musical Art. Every grade will participate in one evening performance at some point during the year, as well as enjoy a variety of other projects and experiences in the world of art!
The vision for the Arts program is to provide equitable, challenging, and a fun Arts Education for all the students at John Hay.
Arts Goal
Developing the artist within each student to cultivate and practice 21st Century skills (communication, collaboration, critical thinking, growth mindset, and perseverance) and develop an understanding of concepts that span multiple art disciplines.
We are all artists at our CORE .

We look forward to this year with great anticipation of growing and learning with your student. We invite you to participate in anyway you can, if it’s volunteering to prep art supplies to attending evening performance, or even dropping in on a class to watch.
